Hello Darlings!

Life is less about what you do, and more about who you are …

Welcome to my little blog world! La Bella Novella means A Beautiful Short Story…and it fit perfectly when I was creating this little place.

My name is Ashley, I started this blog to be some kind of live journal, documenting my journey of publication.

I’m the author of the THE MILESTONE TAPES and Amazon best-selling novel, IN THE AFTER. I live in Chicago with my husband and our three little dogs.

I’m a believer in bigger things, wild dreams and living a genuine life. I’m a modern-day gypsy with a deep love of travel, a flea market hunter, antique enthusiast with a crippling weakness for Japanese Glass Floats, a magpie when it comes to observing the world, as well as a voracious reader (yes, I do believe my Kindle is magic).

If I could uproot myself from here and land anywhere in the world, it would be the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. I’m a Pacific Northwestern girl at heart. The far left coast is where I set my stories, amongst the wild coast and rain-soaked, mossy trees, in honor of my deep appreciation for the natural beauty and wonder. If you’ve ever spent a little time there, you’d believe as I do, that fairy tales could be true. Standing beside the sea, I’ve found the only place in the world I can be sure that I could lose myself and find myself in the exact same moment.
