NaNoWriMo? Bring. It. On!

National Novel Writing Month.

My book will be with my editor for the balance of November–which means I’ll be useless.  So, this whole NaNoWriMo really hit at the perfect time…second book time, that is.

I’m so excited–bubbling at the brim.  I’ve already ordered patches to pass the milestones and my Camp NaNoWriMo tee…oh, let us not forget the most important part–the coffee mug!

NaNoWriMo, if you’re not familiar, is the coming together of authors and pseudo authors a like, all with one common goal–to write 50,00 words in a 30 day span of time.  Crazy(ish) right?  No way!  Bring on the caffeine, long days and even longer nights, the strong plot outlines and camaraderie. This is bigger than one story…this is 200,000 minds working together and separately and proving something.  Proving…anything is possible if you want it bad enough.

The base of NaNoWriMo was to inspire the one day author–the person who wants to write a book one day or the person who thinks writing a novel is a good idea one day and not the next–to jump in with both feet, to just do it.  Good, bad, or ugly…it’s the accomplishment that counts (oh…and the word count…)

It’s goodness all around.

Will you be joining the NaNoWriMo movement?  If so, let me know!  I’ll check in on your progress and be your personal cheerleader!  Everyone can use a cheerleader, right?  Go you! 🙂

Psst: I’ll also be looking for a guest blogger/another participant at the end to share their NaNoWriMo experience!  If you’re interested in making an appearance of the La Bella Novella blog–drop me a line!
